Puppies are vaccinated and dewormed on an appropriate schedule. All health records are provided to their new owners. Puppies are also treated for one non worm parasite as a preventative. Our puppies are guaranteed healthy and free from any genetic or communicable illness.
Puppies are kept strictly indoors until appropriate shots are received. Their area is cleaned daily and they live in our home with their parents.
All of our beagles are from strong, proven AKC bloodlines. We have been breeding for many years and have never had any major health or behavioral issues with our puppies.
We try to limit contact with puppies to only when necessary. They are blind and deaf after all! Puppies spend the majority of their time sleeping with mom.
Super adorable time of firsts. Puppies “wake up.” Their eyes and ears open and their legs begin to support their weight, so they learn to stand, walk and sit. You can spend hours just watching them! (I probably do lol)
Now the fun begins! Puppies are now puppies! Running, playing, barking full of life, love and energy :) This is when we spend the most time with them- feeding, playing, grooming, introducing crate, house and potty training, and lots of baths and cleaning lol.
Puppies are vaccinated and strong enough to hold their own and spend time with their doggie relatives! We continue working on our reinforcement training and establishing a consistent schedule for puppies.
In a nutshell, we encourage behaviors that we like and discourage behaviors that we don't. We shower puppies with praise, love, affection, and occasionally treats when they perform "good" behaviors. In contrast, when puppy behaves negatively, we discourage these behaviors by making it clear that we are not happy with their last behavior. Puppies are extremely intelligent and eager to please, and quickly learn which behaviors are appropriate and which ones are not.
We try to provide as much consistency as possible when it comes to behavior modification and crate and potty training. Basically, we do the same things at the same times each and every day. Puppies come to expect and depend on this consistent schedule and become accustomed to regular feeding, potty, play and bedtimes. When they come to you at 9 weeks old, their routine is well established and they have built firm associations that will help them and you transition smoothly and successfully.
When you bring puppy home, we will discuss at length lots of tips and pointers on how to continue puppy's training. We are also here for you should you ever need any advice or guidance in the future.
It is extremely important to us that puppy does well in their new home and we go to great lengths to ensure that they are prepared with a solid foundation to not only succeed, but to thrive and flourish!!!
Puppy will come to you well on their way to being crate trained at 9 weeks old.
